How We Evaluate Software

BizBot exists to help you choose business software without reading twenty vendor sites. That only works if you know where our information comes from and what it is worth. This page says so plainly.

In short

We do not test every product hands-on, and we do not pretend to. What you read on a BizBot tool page is desk research built from vendor documentation, public pricing pages and product changelogs, written up by a human and dated so you can see how fresh it is.

Where product information comes from

Descriptions, capabilities and limits are compiled from the vendor’s own documentation, help centre and product pages. Where a limitation is a matter of published plan structure — a feature gated to a higher tier, a cap on seats or records — it is taken from the vendor’s own plan comparison, not from hearsay.

Where we summarise what people commonly say about a product, that summary is labelled as such and describes themes, not individual reviews. We do not copy review text or star ratings from other review platforms.

How pricing is verified

Prices shown on BizBot are vendor list prices read directly from the vendor’s public pricing page on the date shown in Last verified. We record the exact page we read. Where a vendor does not publish a price, we say Not published rather than estimating one.

Prices move, currencies differ by region, promotional rates expire and annual billing changes the figure. Treat our number as a starting point and confirm on the vendor’s page before you buy.

What “Last verified” means

It is the date a human last opened the vendor’s own pricing or product page and checked the fields on that BizBot page against it. It is not the date the article was published, and it is not automated.

How comparisons are created

Comparison tables are generated from the same structured fields shown on each tool page. Rows appear only where at least one of the products has data; we do not pad a table with empty cells to make it look thorough. Nothing in a comparison is weighted by a commercial relationship.

How Help Me Choose works

The shortlist tool is deterministic. It matches your answers against published product data — category, team size the vendor targets, list price, free plan, ecosystem fit — and shows you the reasons each tool matched. There is no language model involved and no vendor can pay to appear. If you disagree with a match, the reasons are right there to argue with.

How affiliate relationships work

Some outbound links on BizBot earn us a commission if you sign up. This is how the site is paid for. It does not change what we write, which products are listed, how they are ranked in the shortlist tool, or which rows appear in a comparison — those come from structured data and the same rules for every product. Where a link is commercial, it is disclosed on the page carrying it.

How sponsored placement and guest posts are handled

BizBot accepts paid guest posts and sponsored placement. Anything paid for is labelled as such on the page itself. Paid placement never buys a position in the shortlist tool, a favourable comparison row, or an edit to another product’s pros and cons.

How user feedback is moderated

First-party reviews submitted to BizBot are held for human moderation before publication. Nothing auto-publishes. Reviewer email addresses are never displayed publicly and are not exposed through the site or its API. Submissions that are promotional, written by the vendor, duplicated or unverifiable are rejected.

We do not publish an aggregate rating for a product until enough genuine reviews exist to make one meaningful, and we do not publish review or rating structured data before that point.

Corrections

If something here is wrong — a price, a plan limit, a capability that changed — tell us and we will check it against the vendor’s page and update the verification date. Vendors can request corrections through the vendor page; we verify before we change anything, and we do not hand over editing access.

This page describes how BizBot works today. As we add first-party reviews and deeper verification it will be updated, and the change will be dated.
