AllSubConverter is a browser-based subtitle workspace for converting formats, editing text, adjusting timing and preparing captions for publication.
Who it fits
A focused option for creators, marketing teams and training teams handling existing subtitle files. A typical workflow is converting SRT captions to VTT for a web video, checking the timing and exporting the result.
Formats and workflow
The current website lists 11 core formats, including SRT, VTT, ASS, SSA, LRC and TTML, plus YouTube JSON3 input. Conversion routes vary by format. The advertised tool count is not a count of supported file formats.
Pricing and limits
The provider lists standard conversion and editing tools as free, without an account. AI features use your own provider API key; provider charges and quotas apply. AllSubConverter says it does not add a separate AI usage fee.
Batch limits need clarification: the pricing page lists five files per operation, while the homepage lists up to 200 files or 1 GB per batch and 50 MB per file. Confirm the applicable limit before planning bulk work.
Data handling
According to the provider, standard tools process subtitle files locally. AI features send cue text and the API key to the selected external provider. Its privacy policy also describes analytics, advertising cookies and optional browser storage of a remembered API key. Local conversion should not be confused with an entirely offline or tracking-free service.
Limitations and assessment
Check timing, text and formatting after conversion, especially when changing formats. AI translation needs human review. This profile is based on the provider response and public documentation; BizBot has not independently audited network traffic, tested every format or validated AI translation quality.
