Simplified
Simplified is an all-in-one marketing workspace that bundles AI design, writing, video editing and social media scheduling into a single browser-based tool. Instead of paying for a design app, a copywriting assistant, a video editor and a social scheduler separately, you work from one library where your brand kit, assets and posting calendar live together. More recently the company has layered AI agents on top, so the pitch has shifted from “make a graphic faster” to “hand off recurring campaign work”. For a small team publishing a steady stream of content, the appeal is fewer subscriptions and fewer copy-paste handoffs between apps.
What you can actually do with it
The platform is broad rather than deep. These are the parts most small teams end up using:
- Design graphics from templates. A drag-and-drop editor with templates sized for social posts, ads, presentations and thumbnails, plus background removal and other AI photo edits.
- Generate and edit video. Trim clips, add captions automatically, and cut long recordings into short vertical clips for Reels, Shorts and TikTok.
- Write copy with AI. Templates for ad copy, product descriptions, blog outlines, captions and email drafts, sitting in the same workspace as your visuals.
- Schedule and publish. Queue posts across a dozen or more networks from one calendar, track basic performance, and handle replies from a shared social inbox.
- Keep brand assets consistent. A brand kit holds logos, fonts and color palettes so designed and generated assets stay on-brand across contributors.
- Run client and team workflows. Separate workspaces, approval steps and simple project boards for agencies handling several accounts at once.
- Automate recurring work with agents. AI agents can plan a campaign, produce drafts and push them into the publishing queue instead of you starting each piece from scratch.
Who it fits best
Simplified suits solo founders, one-person marketing departments and small in-house teams who need a constant flow of social content and cannot justify separate subscriptions for design, video, copy and scheduling. If you are the same person who designs the post, writes the caption and schedules it, the consolidation saves real time.
It also works for small agencies and freelancers running several client accounts, since separate workspaces and approval flows are built in. It fits less well where one discipline dominates: a team that mainly needs serious video editing, or one with a dedicated designer already living in professional design software, will be better served by the specialist tool.
Things worth knowing before you commit
- Breadth over depth. Each module is competent rather than best in class, and heavy design, video or long-form writing users often keep a specialist tool alongside it.
- Credit-based AI usage. AI generations draw on a monthly credit allowance and heavier tasks such as video consume more, so usage can be hard to predict; check the current allowances before you commit.
- AI output needs editing. Generated copy tends toward the generic and should be fact-checked and rewritten in your own voice before it goes out.
- The interface is dense. With so many modules in one place there is a real learning curve, and reviewers commonly report the mobile app being weaker and less stable than the desktop experience.
- Read the billing terms. Cancellation and refund terms have drawn complaints from users, so check them before paying for a long term up front.
Alternatives to compare it against
If your main need is graphics, a design-first tool such as Canva gives you a bigger template and stock library. If it is publishing, a dedicated social scheduler such as Buffer or Hootsuite offers deeper analytics, approval chains and inbox handling. If it is writing, a specialist AI writing tool will produce better long-form drafts. Simplified makes most sense when none of those needs clearly dominates and you would rather run one adequate tool than four good ones.
Pricing, credit allowances and plan limits change often. Check Simplified’s own pricing page for current details before you commit.
