Transportation risk management software helps companies identify and mitigate risks related to moving goods, people, and equipment. Ten products are covered below. The list is not ranked.
The most important correction in this article is that these ten are not all the same kind of product. An earlier version presented them as ten interchangeable transportation risk management tools and compared them in a table where every vendor scored a tick on every criterion. That table asserted that ten different products from four different software categories were identical on scalability, customisation, data, visibility and integration. It compared nothing, and it has been removed. So have the two duplicate copies of it further down the page.
What follows instead is a category breakdown, then each product on its own terms. Reviewed August 2026.
What These Products Actually Are
| Product | Category | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| NAVEX One | GRC / compliance | Governance, compliance obligations, policy and training |
| LogicManager | Enterprise risk management | Risk assessment, incident handling, audit |
| EHS Insight | Environment, health and safety | Incident reporting, corrective actions, safety compliance |
| Solistica | Not software. A logistics service provider | Third-party logistics, with a customer-facing delivery management system |
| Ventiv Technology | Risk and claims management | Incident and claims data, risk analytics |
| Aclaimant | Risk and claims management | Incident intake, claims triage, safety workflow |
| FourKites | Supply chain visibility | Real-time shipment tracking across modes |
| project44 | Supply chain visibility | Real-time shipment tracking across modes |
| e2open | Transportation management (TMS) | Planning, rating, execution, settlement. Now owned by WiseTech Global. |
| Blue Yonder | Transportation management (TMS) | Network planning, execution, modelling |
Read down that table before reading anything else. If your problem is “we do not know where our freight is”, you want a visibility platform and none of the risk products will help. If your problem is “we have incidents and claims and no way to see the pattern”, you want a risk or claims platform and a TMS will not give you one. Buying across the boundary by accident is how organisations end up with expensive software that answers a question nobody asked.
On Pricing
None of these vendors publishes a rate card. All of them quote. Pricing in these categories is commonly driven by shipment or transaction volume for the visibility and TMS products, and by user count, entity count or claim volume for the risk products. Those meters behave very differently as you grow. Establish which one you are on, and model it at three times your current volume.
1. NAVEX One®

NAVEX One is a governance, risk and compliance platform. It is not transportation-specific; what it brings to a transportation business is compliance obligation tracking, policy management, employee training and whistleblowing intake.
Compliance & Regulatory Tracking
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Centralized Platform | Track and manage compliance with regulations, standards, and industry best practices. |
| Regulatory Updates | Keep policy and obligation records current as regulations change. |
| Non-Compliance Exposure | Reduce the risk of missed obligations and resulting penalties. |
Risk Analytics
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Identify Risks | Record risks associated with transportation activities. |
| Assess Risks | Evaluate the severity and likelihood of identified risks. |
| Prioritize Risks | Rank risks by potential impact on the business. |
Training
Employee training and awareness is a substantial part of what NAVEX sells, and in transportation that is not incidental — driver and handler behaviour is where a large share of loss actually originates.
2. LogicManager

LogicManager is an enterprise risk management platform. Like NAVEX it is general-purpose rather than transportation-specific, applied to transportation risk by configuring it.
Incident Management
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Incident Reporting | Report incidents through automated workflows and notifications. |
| Root Cause Analysis | Identify underlying causes to prevent recurrence. |
| Corrective Action Management | Implement and track actions through to closure. |
Compliance & Regulatory Tracking
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Regulatory Compliance | Track obligations as regulations change. |
| Audit Management | Prepare for and manage audits. |
Risk Analytics
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Risk Assessment | Identify and assess risks across operations. |
| Risk Prioritization | Rank risks by potential impact. |
A note on the phrase “predictive analytics”, which appears in marketing for several products in this list. In a risk platform it generally means scoring against historical incident data you supplied. It does not forecast events you have never recorded. Ask what data the prediction is built on before you rely on it.
3. EHS Insight

EHS Insight is an environment, health and safety platform. For a transportation operator its relevance is safety incidents, near misses, corrective actions and the associated regulatory reporting.
Incident Management
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Incident Reporting | Capture incidents with automated workflows and notifications. |
| Root Cause Analysis | Identify underlying causes to prevent recurrence. |
| Corrective Actions | Track remediation to completion. |
Compliance & Regulatory Tracking
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Regulatory Compliance | Track safety and environmental obligations. |
| Audit Management | Prepare for and manage audits. |
Who It Suits
Operators whose primary exposure is worker and public safety rather than cargo loss. Mobile capture matters here more than in the other risk products, because the person who witnesses the incident is in a yard or a cab, not at a desk.
4. Solistica

This Is Not a Software Product
Correction. Solistica is a third-party logistics provider — a company that moves your freight. It offers customers a delivery management system for tracking shipments, but you cannot license that system as standalone transportation risk management software the way you can license the other entries here.
It is retained in the list, labelled, because outsourcing to a logistics provider is a real alternative to buying software: you transfer part of the operational risk to a contractor rather than managing it yourself. That is a legitimate strategy. It is just not a software purchase, and comparing it feature-by-feature against a GRC platform, as an earlier version of this article did, made no sense.
What It Offers Customers
Shipment tracking, delivery scheduling and package monitoring across web, mobile and EDI, alongside the logistics service itself.
5. Ventiv Technology

An earlier version of this article was missing this heading, so the Ventiv section appeared to be part of the Solistica entry and the list skipped from 4 to 6. The numbering has been repaired.
Ventiv Technology is a risk and claims management platform, oriented around insurable risk: incident data, claims, loss runs and the analytics over them.
Incident Management
- Report and track incidents
- Investigate incidents
- Analyse incidents to find root causes
- Implement corrective actions
Risk Analytics
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Risk Identification | Record potential risks in transportation operations. |
| Risk Evaluation | Assess the likelihood and impact of identified risks. |
| Loss Data | Consolidate claims and loss data for analysis. |
Who It Suits
Organisations with enough claims volume that managing them in a spreadsheet has stopped working, and which need to show an insurer a defensible loss history.
6. Aclaimant

Aclaimant covers similar ground to Ventiv: incident intake, claims triage and risk data in one place, with an emphasis on capture in the field.
Incident Management
- Submit incident and claim reports electronically
- Triage and escalate claims
- Mobile workflow for field teams to capture video, images and documentation
- Track adherence to safety procedures
Risk Analytics
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Configurable Dashboards | View loss runs, common incident types and claim activity. |
| Centralized Data | Track claims, expenses and processes across locations in one platform. |
Aclaimant or Ventiv?
These two are direct alternatives and should be evaluated against each other rather than against the visibility or TMS products. Run both against the same set of your own historical incidents and see which produces a report your insurer and your operations manager can both use.
7. FourKites

FourKites is a supply chain visibility platform. It tracks shipments in real time across road, rail, ocean, air, parcel and last mile, combining carrier data feeds with predictive arrival estimates.
Statistics Removed
Correction. An earlier version of this article stated a daily shipment volume and a country count for FourKites, and included a customer satisfaction table reporting that 96% of customers rated it four or five stars and 96% believed the company was heading in the right direction. None of those figures carried a source. Two identical percentages presented as separate findings is a further reason for doubt. All have been removed.
If you want a satisfaction figure for any vendor here, read it at the review site itself, where the sample size and date range are visible.
Real-time Tracking
FourKites combines carrier data with machine learning to estimate arrival times and flag shipments at risk of being late. The value is in the estimate being better than the carrier’s own, which is worth testing against your own lanes during a trial rather than accepting as a claim.
8. project44

project44 is FourKites’ closest competitor: a transportation visibility platform providing real-time tracking across modes, with global coverage. The company is based in Chicago.
Visibility Products
- Extended Visibility: Real-time tracking across transportation modes.
- China OTR Visibility: Coverage for over-the-road shipments in China.
- Shared Visibility: Lets brand owners and logistics providers share tracking data with customers and partners.
Awards Claim Removed
Correction. An earlier version cited a G2 Winter Grid Report placing project44 top in enterprise supply chain visibility, and leadership in seven categories. The claim gave no year and no link, and G2 grid reports are published quarterly, so an undated reference to one is not checkable. It has been removed. Both project44 and FourKites appear in current analyst and review coverage of this category; look up the most recent report yourself rather than relying on an undated citation.
FourKites or project44?
The honest answer is that the decision turns on carrier coverage in your specific lanes. Both platforms depend on getting data from the carriers you actually use. Give each a list of your top twenty lanes and carriers and ask for coverage rates against that list, in writing, before comparing anything else.
9. e2open

Ownership Change
e2open was acquired by WiseTech Global, completing on 3 August 2025 in a deal with an enterprise value of about $2.1 billion. e2open was delisted from the NYSE as a result. WiseTech has described a phased approach to integrating e2open’s products and people into its own portfolio.
Practically: if you are evaluating e2open, ask where each module you care about sits in that integration plan, and get the answer from WiseTech rather than from documentation written before the deal.
What It Is
e2open’s transportation management solution covers planning, rating, execution, settlement, analytics and procurement for domestic and international logistics. It is a TMS, not a risk management product — it helps you run transportation, and the risk benefit is indirect.
10. Blue Yonder

Blue Yonder’s transportation management solution serves manufacturers, retailers and logistics providers, covering planning and execution across a network. Like e2open, it is a TMS.
End-to-End Planning
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Regional and Global Planning | Plan and optimise inbound and outbound movements. |
| Fleet and Carrier Integration | Plan own fleet and common carrier together. |
Transportation Execution
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Optimization | Optimise routing, mode, container and service level. |
| Automated Execution | Automate execution with shipment and item-level visibility. |
Transportation Modeling
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Tactical Modeling | Evaluate network performance and model potential savings. |
| Integrated Analytics | Support network decisions with operational data. |
Modelled savings are a projection produced from your own assumptions about volumes and rates. Treat the output of a network model the same way you would treat any other forecast built on inputs you chose.
How to Choose
Start with the category, not the vendor.
| Your problem | Category to shortlist | Candidates here |
|---|---|---|
| We have incidents and claims and cannot see the pattern | Risk and claims management | Ventiv, Aclaimant |
| We cannot keep up with compliance obligations and training | GRC / EHS | NAVEX One, LogicManager, EHS Insight |
| We do not know where our freight is | Supply chain visibility | FourKites, project44 |
| We need to plan, rate, execute and settle transportation | TMS | e2open, Blue Yonder |
| We would rather someone else ran the freight operation | Third-party logistics | Solistica |
Then Ask These
- What is the licence metered on? Shipments, users, entities and claims all appear across this list, and they grow at different rates.
- Who owns the vendor now? This market is consolidating. One of the ten changed owner during the period the previous version of this article failed to reflect.
- What coverage do we get on our actual lanes and carriers? For the visibility products this is the entire question, and it is answerable in a trial.
- Who will own the system internally? A risk platform with no one responsible for reviewing what it collects becomes a filing cabinet.
Final Thoughts
There is no single best product here because there is no single problem. The most useful thing this article can tell you is that the ten names commonly listed together as “transportation risk management software” belong to four different categories plus a logistics company, and that any comparison presenting them as equivalent — including the one this page used to carry — is not worth acting on.
Work out which category answers your problem. Then compare two or three products inside it, against your own data, and get the pricing meter in writing.
